Imagine Canada in the 70’s and you see a kid riding a bike singing Indian film tunes at the top of his lungs. That was me. I was pretending to be Erik Estrada meets Amitabh Bachchan. Yep, there is a re-mix for you. Imagine my shock when I learnt that Erik Estrada was not Indian but Puerto Rican!!!

From an early age I loved movies. My best friend’s parents introduced me to old black & white movies. My parents introduced me to Indian cinema. The common thread in all of this was me. This little Indian kid being fascinated by the people on the screen who were so life like and brought everyone on a journey with them. I wanted to do that. I wanted to be an actor. I wanted to take people on a journey.

That journey continues and the road has certainly been interesting. The one thing that still remains is that little kid riding that bike singing those songs at the top of his lungs.
